Sod Roof Studio

 My studio was built originally as a garage for the Winnebago we lived in as we explored America after moving from Indonesia in 1988.  In 2001 we remodeled it to meet my needs as a potter. The sod roof—on which deer often graze when our dogs aren’t keeping watch—keeps the studio surprisingly cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
